The director, Becky

Becky worked for the NHS as a registered nurse from 2006 – 2022, before that she also worked as a caregiver 2000 – 2005 in the United Kingdom (UK). Becky worked as a caregiver while training to be a nurse. Becky is also a director for a successful care business in the UK where she has been a director since 2015. Becky graduated from The University of West of the England in 2006 as Adult Registered Nurse. Beckland Day Care Services was registered in Western Cape, Cape Town in 2018 and has operated since then as an Accredited Cleaning and Hygiene Training organisation.

In 2024, Becky and her husband Lionel realised that South Africa, Cape Town had a number of nursing agencies, focusing mainly on the physical care of patients rather than the more holistic approach to care, they then decided to change the travel route of their business to support people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, living in care, supported living, respite care and other care services as mentioned. Becky and Lionel knew providing a much-needed service in the community, this company would grow and soon required the assistance of more staff.

Our organisation would offer clients a service encompassing all the aspects of daily care, enabling them to remain comfortably at home. Our organisation discussions started in 2017 during a family gathering in Tokai during Becky’s holiday to South Africa from the UK. In January 2018, Beckland Day Care Services was born.

Office Manager, Noeline

Noeline has over 20 years of corporate experience, specializing in sales, marketing, skills development, and human resources. She ran her own business services company for 8 years and holds an advanced certificate in management practices from Henley Business School. Her personal experience caring for family members with medical conditions led her to transition into healthcare, where her empathetic nature and hands-on training made the shift seamless.

Beckland Care provides a friendly and personal care service that enables frail, elderly, or disabled clients to continue to live independently in their own home.

Our carers have been trained to look at care holistically in the client’s own environment. Basic care duties include assistance with personal hygiene, pressure care, companionship, cooking, light housework, and any other individual requirements such as walking the dog, receiving guests, driving, shopping, etc. This enables the client to retain their independence and continue to live according to their own preferences.
